Just Mammals is an ecological consultancy which specialises in providing services with respect to British mammals and other protected species. However, unlike some consultancies we also undertake our own original research.

We have over twenty five years experience of undertaking projects involving mammals and have specialist knowledge with respect to badgers, bats, dormice, otters and water voles. However, despite our name we also have a huge experience with other species ranging from great crested newts and slow-worms to marsh fritillary butterflies.

Our clients range from small developers to government agencies, and from projects as small as barn conversions to major multi-million pound road developments. Based near Brecon in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park we are ideally placed to undertake projects in mid and south Wales and the west of England.

All our staff are qualified ecologists with extensive experience of surveying for protected species and are either members or associates of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. All work is undertaken in compliance with the Institute’s code of practice.
